just finished reading this collection of short stories while I was in New York and I LOVED it. He has a great straightforward style. Each story takes about 2 minutes to read but at the end of EVERY SINGLE ONE I was left thinking “wait.. WHAT??” and I have yet to stop thinking about them.
Seriously check it out.

Written from the point of view of a 5 year old boy who has only experienced life from the inside of the room in which he and his mother are imprisoned. The combination of his innocence with the horrible situation that he and his mother are in will really freak you out and break your heart while also giving you a feeling of hope.
